Cruel Magic

Rory thinks she’s just an ordinary college student… until mages murder her parents and whisk her off to a secret supernatural university. It turns out she’s the long-lost heir to one of five royal families of dark magic, destined to rule alongside four hot, arrogant jerks.

These guys crush anyone who doesn’t kowtow. But no way will Rory bow to any villain, no matter how brutally alluring. Whether they turn on the charm or tear her down, they can’t break her… even if she’s struggling to work her supposedly wicked skills.

Rory intends to tap into those talents fast. It doesn’t matter what kind of power runs through her veins—she’s going to take this academy of villains down.

What the Reviews Say

This book was hot! The story makes you feel bad for Rory and hopeshe can still hang on to everything her parents taught her. It brings to mind the old question of nature versus nurture. Which is stronger? SO far….. Anything goes!

A new world with tantalizing personal touches that dragged me right in and
compelled me to finish the book in two days despite having real-life responsibilities clamoring for my attention.

I have to say that this book is definitely a different twist them most of the one I read though that is not a bad thing in any way. .

I was on the fence about reading a bully romance, but I am so glad I took the chance. I couldn’t put it down once I started.

Our characters aren’t young teens, so the embers are free to flame, and we get some steamy fun that many academy books must avoid. Chase has planted the seeds that show Rory’s connection to the boys and vice-versa, and I’m SO ready to see what explosions come next.
