What more could you ask for than two sexy princes and a HEA better than all your Christmas gifts put together. A Royal Ruse is the third (and final) book in the Royal Rendezvous series. Since it’s a standalone, you can jump right in without having read the other two first. A beautiful romance not to be missed.

A Royal Ruse (Royal Rendezvous Book 3)

Christmas is over, but it’s not too late to give
yourself the gift of two princes!

The town of Yuletide, Maine is a veritable winter wonderland, full of Christmas-themed shops, light displays, and cookie baking contests… plus a
criminal money laundering front. Prince Alaister of the Kingdom of Alstadia is here to investigate. Which becomes difficult when he meets Ama, a handsome commoner visiting the town…or so he thinks.

But Ama is not a tourist on a Christmas vacation. He is Prince Jean-Michel Amadou Musa Des Rois, younger brother to the King of Port des Rois, a small island nation in the Caribbean.

Like Alaister, Amadou has come to Yuletide
following threads of corruption. Their efforts thwart each other in a comedy of errors as their identities get tangled and their intentions get steamy. It will take a Christmas miracle to untangle this royal ruse!

What the Reviews Say

A Royal Ruse by Ellie Finch is one of the sweetest LGBT romances I have ever read. The fact that it’s a Christmas romance makes it that much better.

After reading this third part of the ‘Royal Rendevous’ trilogy, I think that she really got it right. I found this book heartwarming, very romantic, and definitely Christmassy. Ms. Finch’s other stated goals for the trilogy were to make the books more inclusive and sexy. “A Royal Ruse” also succeeds at both of those.

There was never a dull moment and from the moment I picked this book up, I could not put it down. I have no criticism at all for the author, and I was left wanting more in the best way. Nowadays, I do not tend to buy paperback versions of books, but this one may just be the exception.

I love mysteries, and I’m a sap for a touching Holiday romance, so A Royal Ruse did not let me down! Although I did not read the first stories in the series, I was able to quickly pick up on the characters’ backstories and idiosyncrasies within the first chapter, and followed along with the prince’s story very smoothly.

It’s refreshing to find an LGBTQ romantic mystery. I highly recommend this novel for anyone who grew up immersed in classic cozy mystery writers like Agatha Christie, but who wanted a little more love along the way. 5 stars. Awesome read!
