Getting Lucky

I’ve been uninspired, stuck in a rut.
I needed to get lucky… Fast.
And if fortune does favor the brave,
I’m ready to risk it all.

The moment I laid eyes on her, she was all I could see.
Talking to my paintbrushes is nothing new to me,
But the girl behind the counter certainly is.
Pink hair, fiery personality, and curves for days,
They didn’t name the store Paddy’s for nothing.
Because as destiny would have it, I’ve found my muse.
And I would do anything to lock eyes with her again.
Like paint stunning, colorful portraits of her,
And then invite her and her art class to my exhibit.
But when she comes home with me that night,
I know it’s the beginning of something truly beautiful.
Too bad her arrogant father is ruthless and
controlling,
Thinking I don’t have a real job and can’t take care of her.
But I’ll show him just how good for her I am.

And when I found out she’s carrying my baby,
I vow to be a better father than her old man ever was.
Because nothing will come between my muse and our tiny masterpiece.
